"We read every submission the way we'd read a finished book — and we option every project the way we'd want it filmed."
— Harper Publishers, founding note

Harper Publishers is a literary and product packaging agency working across three disciplines under one roof: representing authors, developing their manuscripts for the screen, and packaging them for the production companies we partner with .

Most agencies stop at the book deal. Most production companies start from an option they didn't shepherd. We do both, which means a story only has to be told to us once.

We work with a small list by design — enough to give each author and each production our full attention, not so many that either suffers for it.

This contact channel is reserved for film and television production inquiries — option requests, packaging, rights to adapt, and partnership proposals.

Book queries and manuscript submissions are not accepted directly through this page. Harper Publishers's literary list is by referral only — we consider new authors exclusively through submissions made by a literary agent.
